About Us
The Night Stalker Association is a non-profit organization created in the late 1980's and is organized under IRC 501(c)(19) as a War Veterans' Organization. Contributions to the NSA serve to preserve the memories and comradeship kindled by the mutual experience of service with the 160th SOAR (A) and to render assistance to Night Stalker members and families, and our fallen brothers surviving families, through means of college grants, loans, special financial assistance, camaraderie building events, and personal guidance.
The 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) (SOAR (A)), known as the ''Night Stalkers," is the world's premier night fighting aviation force and the Army's only Special Operations Aviation Regiment. The 160th and its Soldiers have participated in every Army combat action since its inception following the failed Iranian hostage rescue mission known as "Desert One." Throughout its history, the 160th has pioneered night flight techniques, spearheaded the development of new equipment, and has answered the call to duty in support of Special Operations Forces whenever and wherever it sounded.
In the past calendar year, through the generosity of members and donors the Night Stalker Association provided more than $200,000 in financial assistance for Night Stalkers and family members' college education, Soldiers in financial need, assisted the Families of Fallen Night Stalkers (FFNS), and provided a variety of other significant support to Night Stalkers and their families.
Through donations and sponsorship, we are able to provide support to the Soldiers and Families of this extraordinary unit. At the national and local chapter levels, we operate in a fiscally responsible manner with the best interests of our members and families as our sole purpose. Our volunteer-based non-profit organization is committed to making the most of every tax-deductible dollar donated in the name of our Night Stalker family.
