The concept of The Fallen Brewery was born out of co-owner Nathan Manese's military service with the 160th SOAR and the desire to pay respects to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Our brewery has also been built to honor the men and women who serve our country and the communities we live in. It is a place for family, friends, and strangers to become friends. Our long, Viking style tables inside our brewery are designed to encourage conversation and to sit among people you may not know. The dream of this brewery began in 2013 and has been a passion project to bring it to fruition since 2018. Our brewery will focus on clean, classic style brews up front and work towards adding specialty brews as we grow. We won't sacrifice quality or consistency for the sake of having another brew on tap. If there is a beer temporarily off tap, please know we are perfecting it and refuse to serve any beer not up to our standards.
The brewery was founded by and currently operated by Nathan and Heather Manese. Nate had experience working as a volunteer firefighter before joining the military. He medically retired from the military in 2018 and immediately shifted focus to fulfilling his dream of opening the brewery. Nate began creating his own homebrew recipes over 12 years ago and has perfected them over time, to include our beloved FILO Hefeweizen that was inspired by Nate's service time in Germany.
Heather earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, has over ten years experience as a freelance writer for various publications, and spent time as the Publisher and Account Executive of the Neighbors of East Clarksville magazine. She also manages the brewery's social media, emails, books live music and food trucks, as well as coordinates private and public events to include multiple successful fundraisers.
For over four years, Nate and Heather also owned The Grog Home Brewing Supplies here in Clarksville until July 2022 when they passed the torch on to fellow home brewers.
"We are proud that each of our beers has a special meaning and name behind it that reflects the importance of patriotism in our lives. We do what we do with the support from people like you. So let's raise our glasses, remember the fallen, and cheers to freedom. Every Day, We Remember."
